Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan believes that Bitcoin has the potential to become a multi-trillion dollar asset. With the establishment of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile, institutional confidence in Bitcoin has grown. Hougan predicts that Bitcoin's market cap will surpass $20 trillion in less than a decade. He expects Bitcoin to reach a price of over $1 million, surpassing the market cap of gold. The U.S. government has expressed its commitment to holding and buying more Bitcoin. Despite the potential, the idea of Bitcoin surpassing gold in value within the next 10 years remains uncertain. However, the conversation around Bitcoin has shifted from speculation to serious consideration.
