Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange, experienced a hacking incident where more than $1.46 billion worth of assets, including mETH and stETH, were transferred to external wallets. The CEO, Ben Zhou, confirmed that the hack was due to a transfer from their cold wallet to their hot wallet being mugged, allowing the hacker to take control of the specific ETH cold wallet and transfer all the ETH to an unidentified address. However, Zhou assured users that all other cold wallets remained safe and that withdrawals were proceeding normally.
