Blockchain interest falls 58% in three years as focus shifts to AI

Global interest in blockchain technology has decreased by 58% in the past three years, while interest in artificial intelligence (AI) has surged by over 560%. According to data from Google Trends, searches for blockchain have dropped from a score of 71 on November 3, 2021, to just 30 currently. Nigeria has the highest interest in blockchain technology, followed by St. Helena, Ghana, Cameroon, and China. Interestingly, blockchain searches do not seem to correlate with the price of Bitcoin, as searches were highest when the price was $73,000. On the other hand, interest in Bitcoin has decreased, with a 45% drop in searches in the past three months. Meanwhile, searches for AI have surged, reaching a score of 100. Vietnam and China show the highest interest in AI, followed by Romania, Italy, and Myanmar. However, AI news searches have experienced a 25% decrease in just one day.
