Bitcoin reached a new record high of $85,000 on the Bitstamp exchange. The cryptocurrency has already risen over 100% in 2024 and increased by 155% the previous year. It has seen a 20% surge in November. Betters on Polymarket believe there is a 53% chance of Bitcoin reaching $100,000 this year. Blockstream CEO Adam Back predicts that Bitcoin could skyrocket to as high as $850,000 during this bull market cycle and surpass the market cap of gold.
