CandleFocus Aerodrome tops $1b in TVL amid dominance on Base

The decentralized exchange platform Aerodrome has reached a milestone of $1 billion in total value locked (TVL), according to data from DeFiLlama. Aerodrome, which operates on the Ethereum layer-2 chain Base, has experienced a 22% increase in TVL over the past week. Additionally, the price of AERO, the platform's native token, has risen by 23% in the past 24 hours and 50% in the past week. Aerodrome has become the top DEX platform on Base since its launch in August 2023 and has helped Base's TVL surpass $400 million. It currently has the highest TVL of all protocols on Base. With Aerodrome dominating, more than a third of Base TVL is locked in the DEX protocol. Other top protocols include Aave V3, Uniswap, Moonwell, and Morpho Blue.
