Will Markets Continue to Dump Amid $1.6B in Crypto Options Expiring Today?

Around 18,800 Bitcoin options contracts worth $1.1 billion are expiring on October 11. This is unlikely to impact spot markets, which have been retreating. The put/call ratio for these contracts is 0.91, with a max pain point of $62,000. Open interest is still high at the $70,000 strike price. There are also 212,000 Ethereum options expiring with a put/call ratio of 0.4 and a max pain point of $2,450, with a notional value of $510 million. The overall crypto market capitalization has fallen 1.4% to $2.21 trillion. Bitcoin and Ethereum prices have slumped, but Bitcoin recovered slightly.
