Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, has endorsed a set of bold cryptocurrency predictions for 2025 made by Binji Pande, an Optimism developer and former product manager at Coinbase. Pande predicts transformative changes in the crypto industry, including a surge in block space demand, the flip of decentralized exchanges (DEXes) surpassing centralized exchanges (CEXes) in trading volume, changes in token valuation, cross-chain interoperability, and the rise of proof of personhood and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Pande also forecasts the transition of community coins into serious infrastructure plays, blockchain-based revenue for Fortune 500 companies, and the accumulation of ETH by nation-states. He predicts stablecoins will outpace PayPal's transaction volumes, but warns of potential governance disputes and a black swan event that emphasizes the importance of decentralization. Pande concludes with a motivational note, expressing optimism for the future of crypto.
