CandleFocus Ripple prepares for what could be an $800 million XRP dump in February

Ripple, the company behind XRP, has reserved 300 million XRP tokens, worth $795 million, from the 1 billion unlocked on February 1. This is part of a known pattern where Ripple unlocks and reserves a fraction of XRP for its budget's sales, re-locking the rest for future unlocks. In January, Ripple also reserved and sold 300 million XRP. While Ripple's monthly reserved tokens usually end up in unknown accounts and centralized exchange deposit addresses, the dumping of nearly $800 million worth of XRP does not guarantee a poor performance, as XRP still needs to see growing demand for its token.
