Jack McDonald, SVP of Stablecoin at Ripple, predicts that 2025 will be the year of the stablecoin. He believes that as U.S. regulation advances, clearer guidelines and standards will benefit the stablecoin market and foster greater trust. McDonald is optimistic that Ripple and its stablecoin, RLUSD, are well-positioned to lead the charge in this new era. The stablecoin supply is growing rapidly, with a current market cap of nearly $216 billion and projections of nearly $3 trillion within the next five years. RLUSD, issued on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum blockchains, will enhance Ripple's cross-border payments solution and meet the growing demand for USD-denominated transactions.
