Rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, has announced on social media that he will not be launching a token, causing the perceived odds of him doing so to drop from 40% to 10% on the Polymarket prediction market. Following this announcement, memecoins named "Ye" have seen a significant decrease in value, with one token losing 65% and another losing 89% since the rapper's post. Ye stated that he only engages in activities he is passionate and knowledgeable about and expressed interest in contacting Coinbase's CEO, Brian Armstrong.
