CandleFocus Man Dies by Suicide After Being Convicted of ‘Rug Pull,’ Family Says

The article reports that Berman Jerry Nowlin, who was awaiting sentencing for his involvement in an NFT "rug pull" scam, has died by apparent suicide. Nowlin and Devin Alan Rhoden orchestrated the sale of two NFT collections and canceled a third, with false statements and deleting social media accounts after receiving payment. Nowlin's family claims he was an unaware accessory and that Rhoden was to blame. However, evidence showed that Nowlin played a direct role in the scheme, including money laundering. Nowlin faced up to five years in prison but died before his sentencing.
