Hamster Kombat denies its relationship with Gotbit

Hamster Kombat, a Telegram-based game, has issued a statement on the X platform to clarify that it has never worked with market maker Gotbit, following reports of the CEO's arrest. The arrest is related to market manipulation and fraud charges filed against four crypto market makers, including Gotbit. Gotbit is accused of artificially inflating the prices of manipulated tokens and collaborating with projects like Hamster Kombat. However, the denial of collaboration by Hamster Kombat has been met with skepticism from the crypto community, as an announcement from Gotbit in April 2024 stated that they had partnered with Hamster Kombat. On-chain detective ZachXBT had previously warned users about Gotbit's tactics. Gotbit now faces potential fines and asset forfeiture, while the CEO could face up to 20 years in prison.
