Atsuko Sato, the owner of the famous Shiba Inu Kabosu that inspired the Doge meme, has announced the adoption of a new rescue dog named Cocoro. In partnership with "Own The Doge," Sato has authorized the creation of an official COCORO token, which reached a $100 million valuation on Base within an hour of its launch. Sato has previously had her dogs' images used without permission to create tokens, and she hopes that by working with a trusted community, an official token can be created. The adoption announcement had an impact on the NEIRO meme coin, which dropped around 14%. However, due to reports of a previous hack on Sato's social media accounts, the legitimacy of her posts remains in question.
