Cardano introduces plan 529 ahead of Plomin hard fork upgrade

Cardano has released Plan 529 as a crucial step towards the Plomin hard fork, which aims to improve the blockchain's governance and capabilities. The hard fork is scheduled to occur at epoch 529 on December 20, 2024. The release of Plan 529 outlines the process for the hard fork and emphasizes the importance of preparation to avoid complications. The governance actions will follow Cardano's bootstrap governance, with stakeholders having voting rights. Furthermore, a minor node release has been issued to fix certain issues and ensure network stability. Cardano's founder, Charles Hoskinson, highlighted the successful testing of the Hydra Head protocol, which significantly increased transaction speed and capacity. Meanwhile, the native token, ADA, has been performing well, with a 16% increase in the last week and attempts to reach its all-time high.
