Bolivian Attorneys Spearhead USDT Index Proposal to Energize a Dollar-Starved Economy

Bolivian attorneys Iver von Borries and Javier Romero Mendizabal have proposed using Tether's USDT as an index asset for commercial and civil contracts in order to bring more flexibility to pricing certain obligations. This move is aimed at linking USDT's value to Bolivia's national fiat currency, which has been fixed to the US dollar since 2011. The use of USDT would help unblock large projects in the country and stimulate the Bolivian economy, which has been affected by the disparity between official and parallel exchange rates and the scarcity of physical dollars.
