CandleFocus Bitcoin Miner Foundry Returns Excess 8.18 BTC Fee After Transaction Error

Foundry USA Pool, the largest Bitcoin mining pool by hash rate, has refunded an 8.18 BTC transaction fee that was accidentally overpaid. The error occurred on December 19, and the pool reached out to the sender to refund the excess fee after assessing the situation. Foundry assured its customers that this refund did not affect their regular payouts. This incident follows a similar event in November 2023 when Antpool had to refund a $3 million Bitcoin transaction fee. Foundry's pool remains the largest in the industry with a massive hash rate of 273.6 EH/s.
