Bit2Me and Mastercard Collaborate to Launch Innovative Crypto Cashback Debit Card

Building upon the technology of the existing Bit2Me crypto card, the new debit card allows its users to receive up to 9% cashback in cryptocurrency.

The combining of Web2 and Web3 technologies carries on as crypto-supported debit cards gain more popularity.

Bit2Me, the biggest Spanish digital currency exchange, declared the introduction of their new cashback debit card in collaboration with Mastercard on February 10th.

With the new update to the Bit2Me card, users now have the opportunity to receive up to 9% crypto cashback when making purchases using the card, both online and in-store, through the Mastercard network connecting to millions of worldwide businesses.

Leif Ferreira, the CEO and co-founder of Bit2Me, expressed his desire to see a wider acceptance of the technology with the integration of familiar Web2 financial tools such as debit and credit cards. His aspiration is that anyone, no matter where they are located in the world, can enjoy the boundless advantages of Web3 financial services with the simple click of a button.

The card and wallet give users the ability to use eight different cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, Ripple, Solana, Polkadot, along with the stablecoin Tether.

Since 2021, Bit2Me has been aiming to expand its services worldwide. In July, when customers were blocked from trading on 2gether, the exchange worked quickly to onboard 100,000 affected crypto investors onto its platform.

Mastercard has been proactively providing users and clients with new services and chances in the Web3 sphere. In the last year, they have pick out at least seven blockchain and cryptocurrency companies to be included in its fintech accelerator program.

The business joined forces with Polygon to introduce a Web3 musician accelerator program, exploring the connection between the music business and innovative technologies.

Mastercard revealed on January 31st that it was teaming up with Binance to launch their second prepaid crypto card in Latin America.
