Bentaus Mining Develops a Mining Technician Course

Bentaus Mining has developed a Mining Technician Course, combining the expertise of both Florida State College at Jacksonville and West Java, Indonesia. This course will provide students with a hands-on understanding of the infrastructure of Bitcoin, specifically mining. It is made up of five parts: networking, electronics concepts and repair, hardware repair and maintenance, security and finance, and philosophy. Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn a Blockchain Technician Certificate, opening up potential job opportunities in cryptocurrency mining, network operations, cybersecurity, and programming.

Created by Bentaus, the course has received considerable support, including an honorary diploma for the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil. In addition, it was funded through a Fintech Grant by the Department of Economic Opportunity of Tallahassee, Florida. To begin with, thirty students studying at the Florida State College at Jacksonville will partake in the course, which is the starting point for any future versions of the program.

Bentaus plans to donate the course content to Indonesia, whereupon founder Robert Davidoff will be traveling to the country to teach the first class. This is not only forward looking – as Indonesia sets out to become the leading country in bitcoin worldwide – but also beneficial to students, as it gives them a virtual leg-up into a successful career. Two themes are repeated throughout: a hands-on approach to the course, giving students firsthand experience with bitcoins; and a desire to make vocational schools, apprenticeships and journeymen roles more accessible.

The Mining Technician Course has the potential today to become a cornerstone of cryptocurrency infrastructure in the future. It’s another example of how Bentaus Mining is dedicated to improving the world for future generations.
