Bitcoin failed to reach the $100,000 milestone and has experienced a minor price decline to around $98,000. Some altcoins, such as XRP and DOGE, have also seen significant drops in the past day, while others like TON, DOT, and XLM have seen double-digit surges. BTC started the week at around $90,000 but quickly gained traction and surpassed the previous all-time high. Its rally peaked on Friday just shy of $100,000. Despite the slight decline, BTC is still up 7.2% on the week, with a market cap of $1.940 trillion. The dominance of BTC over altcoins has further declined, sparking speculation of a potential altcoin season. Several larger-cap alts, including ADA, XRP, and DOGE, saw gains but retracted today. TON and DOT surged by 11% and 17%, respectively, while XLM skyrocketed by 29%. The total crypto market cap has decreased by $50 billion but remains close to $3.5 trillion.
