The State of Wyoming is looking to expand its pro-Bitcoin agenda by considering stablecoin issuance and reserve laws. The Wyoming Highway Patrol Association has joined the "Get Off Zero" initiative by Proof of Workforce, which focuses on Bitcoin education and adoption. By doing so, the association could become the first state law enforcement labor union to hold Bitcoin on its balance sheet. This decision highlights the increasing interest in cryptocurrencies within the state. Wyoming lawmakers have previously proposed allocating 3% of the state's sovereign funds to Bitcoin, creating a state Bitcoin reserve. Additionally, the state has been making legislative advancements in blockchain and cryptocurrency, including laws regarding decentralized autonomous organizations and the protection of crypto private keys.
