Crypto venture capital funding is expected to reach $18 billion in 2025, a 50% increase from 2024 levels, according to analyst Robert Le of PitchBook. This is attributed to the anticipation of a favorable regulatory environment following Donald Trump's victory and the return of "generalist" investors after Bitcoin's rally. However, this figure is lower than the $33 billion invested in the sector in 2021. Traditional financial institutions are also expected to enter the crypto space in 2025, lending more credibility to the industry. Investments in the coming year will focus on strengthening the application layer to attract more users. The involvement of regulators, particularly the SEC, is seen as beneficial for the industry.
