The US government has sold off tokens seized from Sam Bankman-Fried's hedge fund, Alameda Research. The wallet, which holds approximately $974,000 in cryptocurrency, had not been moved in nearly two years. Government officials withdrew over 82,000 ANT tokens using the ANT token redemption address AragonDAO. The tokens were obtained through the dissolution of the Swiss non-profit Aragon Association in November 2023, where it sold ETH worth $155 million for ANT tokens. Users have until November 2024 to redeem their tokens, after which they will be burned. The US government received a total of 209,199 ETH worth $556,000 from AragonDAO, with an additional small amount from Coinbase for gas fees.
