Ubisoft's latest NFT game, Champions Tactics, faced major issues during its opening weekend as a bug allowed only two players to win every match before they could be played. The bug was disclosed by a YouTuber and crypto gaming analyst, who claimed that a malicious actor had exploited the game. Two players, Schilleri11 and Paulstar111, were at the center of the controversy. The Game Director later clarified that the game is playable again, attributing the issue to a matchmaking bug rather than malicious behavior. Both players have been unbanned, and efforts are being made to fix the bug permanently. Despite this, the incident raises concerns about the oversight of a major game publisher like Ubisoft in allowing such a significant bug to persist. Champions Tactics is a PC game that involves NFT collectible figurines, some of which are listed on the marketplace for high prices.
