Bitcoin's price increase reached a high of $107,000 before experiencing a drop of roughly $3,000. Many altcoins are also in the red, with SOL and LINK being the biggest losers. The crypto community had high hopes for the US inauguration ceremony, but BTC's price experienced a rollercoaster ride, dropping and then surging to a new all-time high of over $109,000. After Trump's speech, bitcoin headed south, losing $5,000 within minutes but maintaining within six-digit territory. It climbed again on Thursday and Friday, reaching $107,000 before facing resistance. BTC's price has since dropped by about $3,000 and currently sits at just over $104,000. Altcoins such as Ethereum, XRP, DOGE, ADA, AVAX, and XLM have also experienced declines. Solana, SUI, and Chainlink have seen losses of up to 6%. The overall market cap of crypto assets has decreased by $80 billion in a day and is now at $3.720 trillion.
