Donald Trump, who has publicly expressed support for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, has been elected as the new US president. While it was initially unclear whether Trump held any Bitcoin, Anthony Pompliano, CEO of Professional Capital Management, revealed that Trump does indeed own Bitcoin. Pompliano believes that Trump's pro-crypto stance could lead to a significant shift in the US approach to digital assets and financial innovation. Pompliano also stated that Trump is considering creating a strategic reserve of Bitcoin for the US within 100 days. The increasing national debt is also driving interest in Bitcoin, as politicians have added over $850 billion to the debt in the past three months, while Bitcoin's price has increased by 40% during that time.
