Transak, a cryptocurrency payment infrastructure provider, has obtained two licenses to enhance its regulatory compliance. In the US, the company secured its second Money Transmitter License (MTL) from the State of Delaware, following its first MTL from the Alabama Securities Commission. In Canada, Transak has registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) as a Money Services Business (MSB). The Canadian registration comes amid significant growth in the Canadian cryptocurrency market. The licenses will allow Transak to provide Canadians with easier access to digital assets and simplify the process of integrating its services for businesses and developers. Transak plans to pursue licenses in additional US states to further expand its regulatory compliance.
