A report from crypto-exchange BITmarkets analyzed the behaviors of men and women in the crypto community. It found that women are less likely to be holders of cryptocurrency compared to men, but there is a growing interest among women in the sector. The report revealed that only 11% of the women surveyed own crypto, while 21% of men do. However, 46% of women expressed an interest in cryptocurrencies, with 54% interested in professional training to learn more. The report also highlighted a knowledge gap, with a higher percentage of women admitting to not knowing about technical terms like "crypto-exchange" and "crypto ETFs." Despite the gender gap in crypto ownership, the increasing interest among women presents potential for greater engagement in the sector. Other surveys have also reported similar findings regarding the gender gap in crypto. For example, Gemini exchange reported that 69% of crypto holders are men compared to 31% who are women. However, a Pantera Capital survey found that women in crypto earn 15% more than men, highlighting a counter-gender gap when it comes to working in the sector.
