Tether (USDT), the largest stablecoin in the world, has reached a new market cap record, surpassing $125 billion. This comes after a steady increase in market capitalization over the past week. Tether has also reported record profits of $7.7 billion in Q3 2024. Additionally, Tether has made headlines for completing its first crude oil transaction in the Middle East. On the other hand, USD Coin (USDC), the second largest stablecoin, has seen a rise in market cap during the crypto rally but has since decreased and is currently at $36.51 billion, below its all-time high of $55.8 billion.
