The Korea Digital Asset Trading Platform Association (DAXA), a group of major cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea, including Upbit, have decided to delist Dad (DAD) due to concerns about transparency, sustainability, and user risk. Upbit, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea, will officially end trading support for DAD on January 31, 2025. The decision to delist DAD was made after it was labeled as a "trading alert asset" on December 10, 2024. Upbit cited the DAD project team's lack of satisfactory explanations regarding transparency and important disclosures as reasons for the delisting. The move is aimed at protecting users from potential risks associated with DAD. Upbit also stated that it will no longer support DAD-related airdrops, wallet upgrades, or hard forks after the trading suspension.
