South Dakota is considering a bill that would add Bitcoin to its financial reserves. State Representative Logan Manhart intends to introduce the bill in the South Dakota House to create a strategic Bitcoin reserve. This move is linked to President Donald Trump's support for cryptocurrencies. Other states, including Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Arizona, have also proposed or plan to introduce similar legislation. Arizona has already approved the first stage of a Bitcoin reserve bill. Trump's administration's support for crypto adoption is expected to encourage more states and countries to follow suit. Countries like Brazil, Japan, Poland, and Russia are also exploring Bitcoin reserve strategies.
