Sonic SVM, a project aimed at scaling the Solana blockchain, is planning to sell $12.8 million worth of validator nodes in its HyperGrid framework. The sale, set for the week of September 16, will be the first in the Solana ecosystem and will include 50,000 "HyperFuse nodes" in 20 pricing tiers. The nodes come with token rewards and allow holders to monitor the network state. Sales of validator nodes have become popular in the blockchain industry as a way to raise funds and decentralize networks. Sonic SVM previously raised $12 million in a Series A fundraising round. Purchasers of the nodes will qualify for token rewards and contribute to the HyperGrid network security. Other grids could be built on top of the HyperGrid framework for gaming and AI networks. The sale also presents an opportunity for individuals to acquire Sonic Tokens at a lower valuation than top venture capital firms. Possible future airdrops for node operators have been suggested but not officially confirmed.
