Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, is moving forward with the release of its second crypto smartphone, the Seeker. The Seeker, which was showcased at a recent crypto conference in Singapore, is aimed at disrupting the smartphone industry dominated by tech giants like Apple, Google, and Samsung. The phone caters to crypto users with proprietary custody solutions for digital assets and decentralized apps. Seeker is expected to be released in mid-2025 and has already received 140,000 pre-orders. The phone's availability may vary by country due to demand. The price of the Seeker has increased from $450 to $500 during the early adopter window. The Seeker will have 128GB of storage and 8GB of memory, a significant drop compared to its predecessor, the Saga. However, Solana Mobile claims that the processor will represent a meaningful step up. The Seeker will also feature upgraded cameras and a slightly smaller screen. The phone will include the Seed Vault custody solution and will offer exclusive rewards and experiences for Seeker owners.
