Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX has been granted a four-month moratorium by a Singapore court following a $234 million hack in July. The moratorium comes with conditions including full transparency of the exchange's wallet addresses and financial records. WazirX must also release its book of accounts within six weeks and respond to user queries. The court suggested the exchange disclose any non-crypto assets. Customers hoping for reimbursement in cryptocurrency are unlikely to be successful, according to the exchange's legal advisers. On-chain data shows the hacker responsible for the theft is nearly finished laundering the stolen funds, with the wallet reduced to $6 million in Ethereum. The hacker has been using privacy service Tornado Cash to mask transactions.
