The hackers involved in the WazirX cryptocurrency heist are close to completing their laundering process. They have transferred 3,792 ETH (worth $9.93 million) to a new wallet named "0xa6e" and are using the notorious crypto mixer Tornado Cash to route the funds. The attack resulted in $230 million worth of assets being stolen from India's leading exchange, with most of the stolen funds converted into 61,700 ETH. The hacker has been moving the assets between new wallets and the process is nearing completion after 22 days. The hack also led to a $102 million liquidation of 5.4 trillion Shiba Inu tokens, causing a drop in the meme-inspired cryptocurrency's value. Indian users have expressed frustration with WazirX's lack of transparency since the attack, as the exchange has not provided wallet addresses or transparency reports. Binance has confirmed that it has no ownership connection to WazirX.
