Former White House Director of Communications, Anthony Scaramucci, has suggested that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has dropped its case against Ripple. Scaramucci made the claim during a podcast interview, where he and the host discussed Donald Trump's pro-crypto plans and the regulatory framework of the industry. The SEC has yet to officially announce its decision on the Ripple lawsuit, as the case is still ongoing. Legal experts argue that a previous ruling complicates the SEC's ability to dismiss the lawsuit, and the appeal process could extend the case to April or May 2025. In order for Ripple to overturn the judgment, they would need to collaborate with the SEC to submit a carefully worded motion.
