San Francisco-based enterprise blockchain company Ripple has sent $682 million worth of XRP to an unknown wallet, marking its first major transfer since late December. This recent transfer surpasses the total amount of XRP sent by the company in December. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse confirmed that the company owns more than $100 billion worth of XRP tokens, which impacts the valuation of the private company. XRP experienced significant gains in the fourth quarter of 2024, but has struggled to maintain this rally in early 2025 due to the weakness of the broader cryptocurrency market. XRP is currently trading at $2.30 after declining by more than 6% in the past 24 hours.
