Fintech giant Revolut plans to extend its secure payment platform, Revolut Pay, to crypto customers in 2025 to protect against fraudulent attacks. The platform aims to enhance security measures such as name matching, fraud warning screens, proof of crypto delivery, and transaction risk scores. A 12-month pilot showed that these measures resulted in 50% fewer fraud attempts on crypto customers. Revolut recognizes the prevalence of fraudulent activity in the crypto space and aims to provide a safer buying experience for its users. The platform will integrate with third-party exchanges and on-ramps, ensuring KYC matching to prevent stolen card transactions. Revolut is committed to striking a balance between user experience and safety, utilizing its robust framework to assess transaction risk and add friction when necessary.
