Revolut has launched its branch in Italy and introduced the option for Italian customers to use an Italian IBAN. As a result, Italian customers can now use Revolut as their primary account. The Italian branch of Revolut Bank UAB has completed its initial tests and is now officially an Italian bank, supervised by the Bank of Italy and the European Central Bank. The introduction of the Italian IBAN will make daily transactions and the use of Revolut easier for customers, allowing them to receive their salary and make direct debits without complications. This move aligns with the preferences of Italians, with almost half of them considering a local IBAN essential when choosing a bank. Revolut's expansion in Italy has been successful, making it the most downloaded financial app in the country in 2024 and reaching 50 million customers globally.
