Cryptocurrency exchange OKX has launched a trading platform and wallet service in Belgium, allowing local investors access to over 200 cryptocurrencies. Despite not having direct regulatory approval in Belgium, OKX operates under an established EU framework to offer its services. The exchange complies with European regulations through its Malta-registered entity, Okcoin Europe, and has integrated with Bancontact, a popular payment system in Belgium, to facilitate seamless euro deposits and withdrawals. OKX also utilizes Europe's Single Euro Payments Area for cashless transactions and requires users to complete verification through the Itsme identification app for enhanced security.
