Edgar Pavlovsky, co-founder of Marginfi and former member of Solana DeFi project, has departed from Marginfi and is now a core contributor to Paladin, a Solana client focused on protecting validators from sandwich attacks. Temporal, a crypto research shop, also began advertising its own client called Nozomi which serves a similar purpose. Pavlovsky's Paladin has a native token, while Marginfi does not. Temporal criticizes Paladin's approach as naive and self-serving, while Pavlovsky defends its systematic whitelist. The PAL token is a contentious part of the equation, as Marginfi has been criticized for its points program and the delay in launching a token. Pavlovsky supports the idea of a token for Marginfi but believes the timing was not right.
