Fermion Protocol, a real-world asset (RWA) application built on the Ethereum layer-2 network Base, is launching its services by fractionalizing a Dolce & Gabbana digital suit. The suit, part of the Collezione Genesi, was purchased for $1 million and was won in an auction by Boson Protocol in 2021. The suit will be fractionalized and tokenized as an Ethereum NFT, allowing ownership to be divided among a larger group of collectors. Fermion Protocol aims to focus on fractionalizing and tokenizing physical luxury goods. To celebrate the launch, fragments of the Glass Suit will be airdropped to the fashion communities, and a decentralized AI commerce agent will complete the drop. Boson Protocol, which provides decentralized infrastructure for asset tokenization, will see the launch of Fermion Protocol's own token in Q3 2025.
