Malaysia and Bahrain have announced plans to deepen their economic ties, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency. The two countries will also work together in areas such as the Sandbox platform, tourism, connectivity, and manufacturing. Bahrain has pledged its support for upcoming Asean-GCC summits. This collaboration aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and benefit both nations' economies. Additionally, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with Binance founder Changpeng Zhao and UAE officials in January 2025 to discuss potential cryptocurrency regulatory frameworks, with a focus on recognizing the cryptocurrency industry and upgrading Malaysia's financial system.
