Litecoin has partnered with Singapore-based crypto exchange Coinut to offer Wrapped Litecoin (WLTC) tokens on the Ethereum network. This will enable interoperability between the two protocols and bring wrapped tokens back into the spotlight. The goal is to merge the Ethereum and Litecoin blockchains, allowing WLTC users to retain the value of their LTC tokens while accessing ETH applications and specialized features such as smart contracts. Coinut has developed a secure infrastructure for wrapping tokens, working with companies like Coinbase and Fireblocks for storage solutions.
