JPMorgan Chase has increased its stake in Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) by 30% since May. The bank has invested $984,000 in Bitcoin ETFs and $32,300 in Ethereum ETFs through various products. JPMorgan's investments in Bitcoin ETFs include ProShares Bitcoin ETF, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin ETF, and Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF. In addition, the bank has made investments in Ethereum spot ETFs, such as Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF, iShares Ethereum Trust ETF, Fidelity Ethereum Fund, and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF. This move aligns with other financial institutions like Goldman Sachs that are also increasing their stake in Bitcoin ETFs. However, despite the growth in institutional investment, digital asset funds have experienced significant withdrawals, with investors removing $415 million from crypto funds last week. This sell-off is attributed to Jerome Powell's cautious stance on interest rate cuts. Despite these short-term issues, JPMorgan continues to expand its ETF portfolio in line with institutional investment trends.
