Hedera, a decentralized open network, has partnered with Hyundai and Kia to develop the Integrated Greenhouse Gas Information System (IGIS), a platform that uses blockchain technology to monitor and manage carbon emissions in the automobile industry. IGIS integrates with the Supplier CO2 Emission Monitoring System (SCEMS), which combines artificial intelligence with the Hedera network to bring transparency and accuracy to emissions tracking in the supply chain. The platform enables Hyundai and Kia to become carbon neutral by facilitating comprehensive carbon management activities and supporting data integrity and security. Hedera has also collaborated with EDF, NVIDIA, and Intel to explore blockchain solutions for renewable energy certificates and create a hardware-based solution called "Verifiable Compute". Hedera's native token, HBAR, has seen increased activity and is currently trading at $0.2784.
