FTX, a crypto exchange that collapsed nearly three years ago, has started repaying its creditors. The repayments began with small claims of less than $50,000, with about $800 million being paid out in the first phase. FTX plans to distribute a total of $13 billion to creditors, but intends to retain around half of that to address disputed claims. The repayments cover approximately 162,000 claims out of an estimated 460,000 claimants. FTX's founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud and other charges related to the collapse of the exchange.
