A prominent blockchain tracking firm, Whale Alert, has reported the first significant XRP transfer of the year. Half a billion XRP coins, valued at over $1 billion, were moved from one anonymous address to another. The transaction was initiated by Ripple, known for unlocking large amounts of XRP at the beginning of each month. Additionally, Whale Alert noted that 30 million XRP was transferred to a popular South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, Bithumb. Traders are currently moving large amounts of XRP to exchanges to capitalize on the recent price rally.
