Changpeng Zhao, the co-founder and former CEO of Binance, has announced the rebranding of Binance Labs to YZi Labs. Ella Zhang, who played a key role in founding the initial company, will return as the head of the rebranded company. The rebranding is intended to emphasize the independence of YZi Labs from Binance and expand its investment focus on companies in the Web3, AI, and biotech sectors. Changpeng Zhao will maintain an active advisory role in YZi Labs, while Ella Zhang will lead the company's next phase of growth and innovation. The existing portfolio of companies supported by YZi Labs will continue to receive the same level of funding and support.
