They believe Trump's policies are beneficial to the crypto industry and startups. Andreessen also donated the federal limit of $844,600 to Trump's campaign and the Republican Party. Horowitz also announced a donation to Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign, but there have been no records of it. Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen donated $1 million worth of XRP tokens to a super PAC supporting Harris' presidential campaign. The Right For America super PAC has raised $27.8 million and is focusing its spending in swing states. Crypto-focused super PACs have become important for the industry to influence policy and regulation. Digital asset corporations are the dominant spenders in the 2024 elections, contributing 44% of all money so far, according to a Public Citizen report.
