A crypto-powered networking event held on a Qatar Airways flight has raised safety concerns as videos suggest that seatbelt and smoking laws were violated. The event, organized by startup Redacted and marketed as the "first-ever web3 sky event," featured crypto enthusiasts singing and dancing during the 10-hour flight from Dubai to Singapore. Redacted's co-founder Shan Kumar stated during the flight that the goal was to ensure that no one else hosts a similar event. Videos shared on social media show attendees dancing in the aisles while the seatbelt sign is on, which goes against Qatar Airways' safety instructions. Hints at smoking onboard were also made during Kumar's speech. It is unclear if the airline crew intervened during the event.
